Here's another flashback to this week in January 2011 after Brisbane was hit by its worst natural disaster in 40 years. Brisbane's "Mud Army", 25,000 volunteers strong, took to the streets with brooms and shovels, to lend a hand in a mass clean-up operation. In our streets in Auchenflower we had people coming for up to two weeks. Most were from Brisbane but some came from the Gold Coast or Sydney and their tireless efforts, generosity and teamwork inspired us to keep going each day. Everyday heroes. Love you Brisbane….#qldfloods #floods #queensland #brisbane #brisbanefloods #mudarmy #thisisqueensland #brisbaneanyday #queenslandanyday #loveyoubrisbane – from Instagram
